The unit (GCW) was founded by a technocrat in the year 1989 under MSME category for manufacture of dry type transformers and reactors exclusively catering to power electronics segment.
The new unit was set up in the year 2001 in Peenya Industrial Area, Bangalore, for manufacture of distribution & power transformers. The new unit has all infrastructure and well established test facilities for manufacturing and testing of transformers as per IS 2026.
The unit was awarded SAMMAN PATRA by Government of India in the year 2003 (the only unit to be awarded under MSME category during that year).
Special duty Transformers & Reactors by M/s NVT Quality Certification Pvt Ltd (NABCB).
Installed base capacity is in excess of 2500 MVA, having supplied more than 20000 Transformers in various capacities, all running successfully.
